The duties, knowledge by work, function, attitude, outline, work factors, and the required equipment and tools, which have been deduced through job analysis of emergency and safety management employees from the tourism industry, can be sufficiently utilized as the basic research data for developing an emergency and safety management education course for tourism employees. The types of safety accidents and emergency situations which may occur in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province are diverse and increasing in frequency. Therefore, the plan of emergency treatment allows people to immediately and properly cope with emergency situations directly connected to life and death. Providing tourism employees of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province with onsite emergency treatment methods has an effect on preventing further aggra-vation of the patient¡¯s injury. This in turn has an effect on invigorating the local economy of Jeju Island and enhancing the image of Jeju Island as a global tourist attraction with superior safety and emergency treatment.
